As a psychiatric provider, I am committed to delivering comprehensive, quality care, blending traditional and innovative approaches like ketamine treatment. My holistic treatment philosophy involves collaboration with medical and therapeutic professionals, and I am deeply invested in supporting addiction recovery, emphasizing the vital role of trust and personal connection in achieving wellness.
Unlike many psychiatric providers, I have strong beliefs in regard to the use of medication for mental well-being.
I am committed to providing the highest quality psychiatric care to every one of my patients. I value these relationships and consider this connection a source of significant meaning and purpose in my life. I enjoy working with patients’ medical providers, family members, and therapists to create a team-based approach to patient care.
Having completed training with the Ketamine Training Center, I am passionate about the use of ketamine and other psychedelic medicines to treat a variety of mental health conditions in a way that traditional psychiatric medications cannot accomplish.
Trusting your psychiatric provider is critical to your care; without trust, it is often difficult to remain hopeful, and knowing that you have a knowledgeable and empathic provider who truly wants you to feel better can make all the difference.
Open, honest and continued communication leads not only to more effective treatment but to a more trusting and reliable relationship between you and your provider; educating patients on medications, different diagnoses and staying in close contact with patients are all important and lead to consistent, more-effective care.
Finally, tenacity. This is the drive to find a solution when typical treatments have not gotten us to where we hoped to be.
I accept the following insurance plans:
I do not accept other insurance at this time but I can provide superbills for submission to your insurance company for reimbursement purposes.
1 hour initial evaluation: $350
30 minute follow-up appointments: $175
Note on Benzodiazepines:
I do not prescribe benzodiazepines (medications such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonipin, Valium etc.) unless patients are interested in discontinuation of their benzodiazepines and would like assistance with a taper program to reduce and then eliminate use of these medications. Benzodiazepines are intended only for short-term, intermittent use, can cause dependence and withdrawal when discontinued, and have been associated with cognitive decline with long-term use. Additionally, use of these medications can be a way to avoid uncomfortable feelings, feelings that are important to acknowledge and work through with the help of a trained psychotherapist.
You will receive an email with forms to complete prior to your initial visit. These include a thorough history form as well as policy forms. During your first appointment, we will review the forms, discuss your current concerns, and come up with a treatment plan.
The frequency of appointments depends on the treatment plan that is developed during our initial evaluation. Typically I see patients for a follow-up appointment 2 to 4 weeks after their initial evaluation. This depends on the nature of the concerns being addressed, the medications prescribed, and other factors that may require more frequent visits. Once we have established a beneficial treatment plan and your symptoms have improved, it is possible that follow-up appointments could be scheduled for every 2 or 3 months.
